Met de toevoeging van Pavol Zubek als assistent-coach is de technische staf van Amsterdam Tigers compleet voor het komende seizoen. De 24-jarige Slowaak was de afgelopen twee seizoenen assistent-coach voor het Oberliga-team van Tilburg Trappers. Hij was onder meer verantwoordelijk voor de video-analyses en de skills trainingen. Daarnaast was hij het afgelopen seizoen de hoofdcoach van het eredivisie-team van de Trappers. Als speler doorliep Pavol het jeugdsysteem van de Slowaakse club HC Kosice. Op 19-jarige leeftijd kwam Pavol naar Amsterdam om sportmanagement aan de Hogeschool van Amsterdam te studeren. Na zijn verblijf in Tilburg, woont Pavol nu weer in Amsterdam. Naast Pavol blijft ook Vsevolod ‘Soro’ Sorokin als assistent-coach deel uitmaken van de technische staf. Met zeven seizoenen als verdediger in de KHL, brengt Soro ook het komende seizoen weer een schat aan ervaring met zich mee. De nieuwe hoofdcoach van de Amsterdam Tigers, Billy Doherty, was betrokken bij de aanstelling van Pavol en de verlenging van Soro. Billy en Amsterdam Tigers zijn erg blij met deze twee top assistent-coaches in de technische staf.
Coaching staff Amsterdam Tigers complete
With the addition of Pavol Zubek the Amsterdam Tigers have completed their coaching staff for the upcoming season. The past two seasons, the 24 year old Slovakian was assistant coach for the Oberliga team of the Tilburg Trappers. His responsibilities included video analysis and skills training. In addition, last season he was the head coach of the Trappers’ team that played in the Dutch Eredivisie. As a player, Pavol went through the youth system of the Slovak club HC Kosice. At the age of 19, Pavol came to Amsterdam to study sport management at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. After his stay in Tilburg, Pavol now lives in Amsterdam again. Besides Pavol, Vsevolod ‘Soro’ Sorokin will stay on as an assistant coach. With seven seasons as a defenseman in the KHL, Soro will bring a wealth of experience to the table once again. The new head coach of the Amsterdam Tigers, Billy Doherty, was involved in the hiring of Pavol and the extension of Soro. Billy and the Amsterdam Tigers are very pleased to have these two top assistant coaches on our coaching staff.
